About the role
- Trainer and Assessor General Education and Hospitality services
Jesuit Community College is seeking a passionate, motivated and qualified Trainer and Assessor to deliver:
- Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee,
- Food Safety,
- Responsible Service of Alcohol and
- Pre-Accredited Coffee making and introduction to Hospitality courses.
- Certificate 1 in General Education for Adults (Introductory)
Locations include:
- Inner Melbourne; and
- South Eastern Melbourne
This is a Casual position including working from 1 to 3 days per week for allocated courses.

About you
This role will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience:
- have previous experience in delivering accredited training & assessment courses in hospitality and or general education fields
- have minimum 1 year of Hospitality Industry experience including liquor service
- have excellent Computer skills including Microsoft Suite, Learning Management System experience
- Be an exceptional communicator
- Enjoy the flexibility of working up to 3 days per week with the flexibility to work across Melbourne
- Have the passion and commitment to improve learners’ outcomes.
- Willing to join a close team with a 'can do' attitude
Applicants must hold a:
Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in relevant field required and must hold a:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment OR
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus units:
- TAELLN411 (or its successor) or TAELLN401A, and
- TAEASS502 (or its successor) or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B OR
- A Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
- Related Vocational qualifications for Prepare, Serve Espresso Coffee, Food Safety and Responsible Service of Alcohol – Liquor Control Victoria
- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment ((TAE4116 or TAE4110 including TAELLN411 and TAEASS502)
- Current Victorian Driver’s license and own a vehicle
- Current Working with Children’s check
- Pass a National Police check
About the program
The Jesuit Community College is a Community Based RTO that places a high priority on learners whose education has been interrupted with a further emphasis on disengaged learners. We seek to link people into a community of learning, offering flexible pathways to further study, work or meaningful and fulfilling participation in community. Our aim is to provide innovative, flexible and supported training to meet individual learner’s needs.
Our programs focuses on the student themselves to ensure not only are they prepared for a successful working life but also have the confidence and motivation to achieve anything they set their mind to.
